Thermo Polymerized Rock (TPR)
Affresol Modular Buildings are made from an innovative new structural product called TPR™ (Thermo Polymerized Rock).
TPR™ (Thermo Polymerized Rock) will be used to make the “Modular Buildings” and “Sectional House Frames” will have a Compressive Strength range 22 KN/mm2 to 38 KN/mm2.
All of the waste streams that will be used in this process will all be diverted from landfill. Affresol do not use materials that can be recycled for reuse.
TPR™ is poured into moulds in the same way as concrete and will be left to cure for 24 hours.
When TPR™ is in its solid form it has the following intrinsic attributes:
- TPR™ is as strong as concrete;
- TPR™ has excellent thermal insulation characteristics ("U" Value for modular building wall is 0.2;
- TPR™ is very durable (estimated at 80 plus years);
- TPR™ is water proof;
- TPR™ is fire retardant;
- TPR™ is not susceptible to insect infestation;
- TPR™ does not rot;
- TPR™ does not leech any harmful elements;
- TPR™ has a “Low Carbon Footprint”;
- TPR™ is 100% recyclable;
- TPR™ has better flex and tensile characteristics than concrete.
TPR has been rigorously and independently tested as a structural product and has performed in line with accepted BS Standards,
